In 2026, museums and archives, publishing houses, and schools around the world are commemorating Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926). The Fondation Rilke, the only institution in the world dedicated exclusively to the poet, is offering a rich program to celebrate the centenary: readings, concerts, guided tours, and school events.
In collaboration with the University of Bern, the Fondation Rilke a series of lectures, bringing together renowned experts (every Tuesday in Bern, 4-6 p.m., starting February 17, 2026). Admission is free. Speakers and titles are announced in the " Events " section.
After the museum's renovation, the new permanent exhibition of the Fondation Rilke its doors in Sierre on March 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The Foundation also collaborates with the municipality of Rarogne, the Gianadda Foundation, and numerous regional and international partners.
